Photography is one of the biggest things you are going to have to decide on when it comes to your wedding, whether or not you want a photographer and who you end up with.
I’m Felicia Yap and I’m going to tell you three things that you should consider when booking a wedding photographer.
The first thing is style. What kind of photos really draw you in? Do you love artistically styled photos or candid photos or posed ones? Consider what kind of style of photos you’d like to hang up on your wall.
The second point is price. How much can you afford? Photographers really range in price, so what you can do is research in your area, who can take photos within your budget and that can really eliminate a lot of the options out there and make your decision a lot easier. But if budget doesn’t matter you could always send your ideal photographer to wherever your wedding is going to be.
Lastly fit. It’s your vision and your photographers personality. Do you gel? I think it’s super important that you and your photographer really fit well together because at the end of the day your photos will turn out a lot better because they’re gonna be comfortable directing you in the photography and you’re going to feel comfortable and at ease with them and that’s going to give better photos in the long run. So do your research, look at different options out there and look at the photographers portfolio and customer reviews, that’s so important and when you’ve really narrowed down your photographers in the end what you can do is contact them and hopefully chat about what you want and see if your vision matches with them and that way you can select the best photographer for your day and if you’re doing a destination wedding you can always contact them via email instead of a conversation that way.
So keep in mind style, price and fit and that will help you narrow down your options so that you pick the best photographer for your big day.
