According to The Knot 2016 Real Weddings Study the average amount a bride spent on a wedding dress in 2016 was $1,564 which was an increase from the 2015 average of  $1,469. Over the past ten years brides have been steadily increasing the amount they are willing to pay to get the dress of their dreams.
